Ceiling lights, as the name suggests, are named after the fact that the top of the lamp is relatively flat and the bottom is completely attached to the roof during installation. Although ceiling lights do not have the fashionable and diverse appearance of chandeliers, they have their own advantages in light distribution, price, installation, maintenance, and other aspects. The limitation of floor height determines that the main type is ceiling lights. Therefore, ceiling lights are still widely used in daily lighting for overall home lighting in living rooms, bedrooms, and corridors. However, many people do not know how to install them after buying them. This website has compiled detailed installation steps for reference:
(1)、 Installation of ceiling light - steps
1. Open the packaging of the ceiling lamp and remove the built-in thread on the base;
2. Remove the lamp tube to prevent it from accidentally falling off during installation (ceiling lights usually come with their own light source);
3. After removing the lamp tube, place the base of the ceiling lamp on the ceiling and draw the position of the lamp hole;
4. After marking the position of the hole, drill a hole on the ceiling. The actual size of the hole needs to be determined based on the size of the light hole on the ceiling lamp;
5. After drilling the hole, inject colloid to fix the screw;
6. Install the base, rotate it at an angle, and tighten the screws
7. Disconnect the indoor power supply, connect the wires, and then reinstall the lamp tube
8. Carefully check whether the installation and wiring of the lighting fixtures are correct and standardized, and whether the wiring is firm;
9. Test whether the lighting fixtures can be powered on normally and confirm their operational status,
10. Cover the lampshade and complete it
(2)、 Installation precautions
1. Before installation, check whether the appearance of the ceiling light is intact, whether the cross-sectional size of the wire core is appropriate, and whether the wires and joints are fixed properly to avoid poor contact.
2. When installing ceiling lights in brick and stone structures, embedded bolts, expansion bolts, nylon plugs, or plastic plugs should be used for fixation, and wooden wedges should not be used; And the bearing capacity of the above-mentioned fixing components should match the weight of the ceiling lamp to ensure that the ceiling lamp is firmly and reliably fixed, and to extend its service life.
3. The number of fixed lamp holder bolts should not be less than the number of fixed holes on the lamp base, and the bolt diameter should match the aperture; For lamps without fixed mounting holes on the base (self drilled during installation), each lamp should have no less than 2 bolts or screws for fixation, and the center of gravity of the lamp should match the center of gravity of the bolts or screws; Only when the diameter of the insulation platform is 75mm or less, can one bolt or screw be used for fixation.
4. The ceiling light cannot be directly installed on combustible objects. In order to be aesthetically pleasing, it is actually very dangerous to use a painted three panel lining behind the ceiling light, and insulation measures must be taken; If the high-temperature area on the surface of the lamp is close to combustible materials, insulation or heat dissipation measures should also be taken.
5. If a screw socket lamp head is used in the ceiling lamp, the wiring should also pay attention to the following two points: ① The phase wire should be connected to the terminal of the center contact, and the neutral wire should be connected to the threaded terminal; ② The insulation shell of the lamp head should not be damaged or leak electricity to prevent electric shock when replacing the light bulb.
6. Ceiling mounted lamps equipped with incandescent bulbs should not be tightly attached to the lampshade; The power of the light bulb should also be selected according to the technical requirements of the product, not too high, to avoid the bulb temperature being too high, and the glass cover breaking and splashing down to harm people.
